Winter Steelhead Season

The 2020 winter steelhead season has been a crazy one for sure. January brought very few fish to our rivers and we had to work for every bite. Rain showed up in late January finally getting things going. February turned out to be a great month of fishing but the rain pretty much shut off and the month was one of the driest on record. March rolls around and we still have fish around but now we have no water again and very low conditions. But with no low flow restrictions,  the rivers have been producing really well if you revert to using light gear and stealthy approaches. Overall, the fishing was good in February and March but the rainfall was far from normal.
