Trout and Kokanee

May 8, 2022

Well it’s almost time for me to head East for some fishing. Although we didn’t have much rain January-March, the recent storms that have included both rain and snow have helped matters tremendously. We are not out of the woods yet, nor will we be but we are definitely better off than without what Mother Nature has provided over the last few weeks. With that being said, I look forward to some good fishing in the month of June and early July. Whiskeytown Lake is already producing some very nice Kokanee and will only get better in the next several weeks. Shasta Lake is just starting to show signs of life and should also improve as time goes on. The Sacramento river has been outstanding for Trout. The river is going to be lower than usual for this time of year because of the drought situation but should still produce some nice fish all summer long. I look forward to having some fun catching these beautiful fish. Hit me up and lets get you on some good fishing.

Keep em Tight,

Alan
